On the day of delivery we can contact you one hour prior, on a designated contact number before we arrive. On arrival, the delivery crew will unpack and place your furniture in the location of your choice. Where appropriate your furniture will be assembled (excluding flat pack furniture and garden furniture) and all packaging will be removed and taken away for recycling.

Yes absolutely. Many of our customers regularly use our website to send gifts to friends, and family and also use us for corporate gifts. Simply add the delivery address and then select the option to add a different billing address within the checkout. However, if any furniture items (that require two-man delivery) are being sent to an alternative address, we will need to speak to the homeowner in advance of the delivery to allow them to select an available delivery date.

In general, you should expect to receive all furniture items in one order at the same time. This allows us to keep your delivery charge at £89 as we do not increase your delivery charges when you order multiple furniture items.

Absolutely not! If you order furniture (that requires a premium, two-person delivery at £89) and homeware products within the same order you will only be charged for the furniture delivery only. Your homeware products will be delivered to you for FREE!

No, any homeware items will be dispatched immediately and will arrive in 2-4 working days. You will be contacted in advance of your furniture delivery by a member of our delivery team so that you can select the next available delivery date.

Unfortunately, we don’t deliver overseas at the moment.

All furniture products on our website are advertised with either a delivery estimate (to any UK mainland address) or are listed as ‘In stock’. We aim to be as accurate as possible with lead times and pride ourselves on delivering on time all over the country. On the rare occasion that our estimate is not correct, we will be in touch with you as soon as possible to let you know of any delay.

Unfortunately, we don't offer Click and Collect at the moment. However, it is something we're working on.

No, we don't. Our garden furniture is delivered boxed and require customer self-assembly. Easy-to-follow instructions are included in the package.

Further Delivery Information

 

Premium Delivery

Our Premium delivery service is required for all medium and large furniture products. With almost 50 years' experience in furniture delivery, we are confident that we, have the skill to ensure that your delivery will be carried out as efficiently as possible with the least disruption to you and your household.

Wherever possible, our delivery crew will not only deliver but unwrap and place your furniture in the location specified by you. Furthermore, with the exception of flat-pack furniture, garden furniture, or when specified, we will assemble all furniture and packaging will be recycled.

The estimated delivery lead time is displayed next to each furniture product. However, you will be contacted in advance of your delivery by a member of our delivery team so that you can select the next available date that is most convenient for you. Premium deliveries will not be attempted until a date is agreed with you.

Non-standard deliveries:

For an additional charge we are happy to arrange delivery if your address is more than 30 miles from any of our Sterling Home stores or is located outside the Scotland mainland. Due to the wide range of delivery complexities to certain areas of the mainland and islands,  we are not able to provide a standard charge for this. Please complete your order as normal and our initial standard delivery charge will be applied regardless of your location. Our delivery team will then be in contact with you to explain any required extra delivery charges as soon as possible. Upon acceptance from you, we will process any extra charges which will complete your order in full. However, if you are not happy with the additional charge then you will be able to cancel your entire order at this point and receive a full refund. Please also note that delivery to a UK island location or to any of the postcodes below may increase the lead time for your delivery.

Any of the postcodes below will incur an additional delivery cost and the delivery will most likely be undertaken by one of our delivery partners. While our delivery partners will provide a quality delivery service, they will not be able to provide the same level of service provided by the Sterling Home delivery teams. Non-standard delivery will be to room of choice, without assembly. All options will be explained to you by our delivery team. Courier delivery

Our courier delivery service is applied to homestore and smaller items and will be delivered by one of our courier partners, within 2-4 working days. To ensure the safe and quick delivery of your order a signature will be required upon delivery. Our courier deliveries take place Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.

We take the utmost care to ensure that each individual item is packed safely and securely. Furthermore, we’re serious about the environment and so wherever possible our distribution team use recycled packaging materials to ensure that your delivery and the environment are both kept safe.
